
One Pot Creamy Shells and Beef
Total Comfort Food! And what a great dish to make on a busy weeknight. All in one pan!
Delicious Creamy Shells and Beef!
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 Pound Riverbend Cattle Company Ground Beef
- 128 oz. Can of Plum Tomatoes ( These will be blended or hand crushed to your preference)
- 2-3 Tbls Olive Oil
- 1/2 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes ( if you like a little spice! or you can add more)
- 1/2 Cup Grated Pecorino Romano
- 1 medium Onion Chopped
- 6 Sliced Garlic Cloves
- 4 Cups Low Sodium Beef Stock
- 1 Cup Heavy Cream
- 1 pound box of medium-sized pasta shells
Instructions:
- Brown and crumble the Ground Beef
- Add Onions and let simmer for 5-6 minutes, stir and brown them. Add some olive oil if needed.
- Add Sliced Garlic and sauté till it is browned.
- Add Crushed Red pepper and stir.
- Add in the Blended or crushed tomatoes.
- Stir in the 4 cups of Beef Stock.
- Simmer, while adding salt and pepper to taste.
- Add Shells and simmer, stirring occasionally. You may need to add a little beef stock if the liquid evaporates before the pasta is done. Cook pasta until tender.
- Serve and Garnish with Fresh Basil.
Note: If you would like to add some vegetables, frozen peas or baby spinach would be a great compliment.
