Ingredients
- 4 Riverbend Beef Brisket German Bratwurst
- 4 brat buns or sturdy rolls
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 2 bell peppers, sliced (any color)
- 1 large yellow onion, sliced
- 1–2 teaspoons Withlacoochee Seasoning
- Pinch of Smoked Salt Finishing Seasoning, to finish
- 2 tablespoons Wahoo Raw Honey
- 2 tablespoons Dijon or whole grain mustard
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the grill. Heat your grill to medium or medium-high. Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
- Cook the peppers and onions. In a large skillet or grill pan, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced peppers and onions, season with Withlacoochee Seasoning, a small pinch of salt, and black pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until softened and slightly caramelized, 10–12 minutes. Keep warm.
- Grill the brats. Brush the brats lightly with the remaining olive oil. Place them on the grill and cook, turning every few minutes, until browned on all sides and cooked through (about 10–15 minutes, depending on grill heat).
- Warm the buns. During the last few minutes of grilling, place the buns cut-side down on the grill until lightly toasted.
- Make the honey-mustard drizzle. In a small bowl, stir together Wahoo Raw Honey and mustard until smooth. Adjust sweetness or tang to taste.
- Assemble. Nestle one brat into each toasted bun. Top generously with peppers and onions, drizzle with the honey-mustard, and finish with a light sprinkle of Smoked Salt Finishing Seasoning.
