Hands-On Learning at the Ranch
Make learning come alive with a field trip to Riverbend Cattle Co. — where education meets adventure. Our guided ranch experiences provide hands-on learning, an introduction to agriculture and cattle ranching, and teach Florida history while encouraging curiosity, connection, and a love for agriculture and the land.
Trade the Classroom for the Countryside
Our Field Trip Days are a hands on and engaging opportunity for learning. The day will be focused around three different rotating stations.
Each station will be about 45 minutes and then kids will rotate to the next station. The day is designed around keeping kids engaged and excited about what they're learning.
The Different Stations
The Farm Animal Tour
Kids will get to feed and pet the
farm animals while learning about
Florida’s rich ranching history along the way.
The Ranch Tour
Kids will climb aboard the ranch wagon for a tour of the ranch, where they’ll learn how we raise our cattle and care for our pastures.
The adventure ends with a chance to feed the cows!
The Learning Barn
In the Learning Barn, kids will discover how beef gets from the ranch to their plate and where different cuts come from. They’ll also learn about cattle branding and create their own brand to take home!
Planning Your Visit
Closed-toed shoes are required for every student and chaperone, and the visit is outdoors on a working ranch, so dress for the weather. Shaded picnic areas are available for lunch and lessons.
